Welcome to our Greater Cement Hill Neighborhood Association!
GCHNA consists of approximately 220 member households in a geographic area of 467 improved parcels. As a group, we entertain several topics relevant to our community. Fire preparedness is high on the list and GCHNA has been recognized as an active Firewise Community since 2012 by the Firewise USA program. We work with our local partner, the Fire Safe Council of Nevada County, to fulfill their mission to help all homeowners in Nevada County “prepare for and survive the next catastrophic wildfire in a truly public-private partnership.”
We encourage you to share your ideas and perspective on how we can utilize our collective involvement for the greater good of our community. There are many opportunities for all of us to participate, just a little bit goes a long way. Reach out to your neighborhood representative to discuss how you can Get Involved!
Our bi-monthly Steering Committee meetings are held at the Madelyn Helling Library in the Community Room, 980 Helling Way, Nevada City. The meetings are usually the first Monday of the month 7 – 8:30 pm.
Please join us. If you are unable to attend or would prefer your Neighborhood Representative present the topic for you, please reach out to them directly. If you don’t know who your Representative is, submit your query on the Contact Us page.
