SNOW REMOVAL...

by Marty Pezzaglia

After the February snow storm, I checked with the County Department of Transportation about their  priorities for county roads and snow plowing. There are ten routes, and only four crews. The routes are broken down into First and Second priorities. Most of us live on Route 3.

Route 3, First Priority- 6-8 hours-- includes Cement Hill Road (Highway 49 to Augustine Road), and Wet Hill Road.  First Priority routes are plowed, and then repeated if conditions warrant, before Second Priority routes.

Route 3, Second Priority-12 hours
--includes Airport Road, Indian Flat Road, Augustine Road, and Cement Hill Road (Augustine to end of County Road).

The following list of names and numbers of people who will remove snow and may be of help in the future.
